Ok installed it .. there is no help txt file to tell you where to put the folder... i moved it to the GW Directory...
i ran the file RegisterDirectSongDirectory and the dos file......seamed ok
but in game it says directsong had encounted an error.
the files play in WMP..so i dont see what the problem is.

There really is no point in wasting your time! 12000 people have looked at the help file i was directed to..which doesnt help at all.
all this for 20mins extra music...ive lost the will to play the game now

The best thing to do was to keep the files in the default directory. I installed it in anpther directory, didn't work, after a few months, i reformatted my computer (not related to GW or direct song). Downloaded the music again in the default directory and everything works fine now. You have to tell your computer in which directory the .dll file is in order to access the music. You also have to download the license via windows media player too i think.

I am having the same issue with this. Don't know why they have to make this so retardedly frustrating.

The last time I tried DirectSong it messed things up badly enough to make everything that used codecs through DirectShow crash instantly, and the uninstaller didn't work. Had to edit the Windows registry manually for an hour or so removing the garbage before the system was usable again. Never got the music to play in GW either.

Don't get your hopes up.
